A frame that needs little introduction, the Persol 714 is arguably one of the most iconic frames in sunglass history. The pioneering foldable frame was made legendary by the “King of Cool”, the late Steve McQueen. The 714SM (Steve McQueen Edition) was a special release by Persol to pay tribute.
There are a couple key and cool distinctions between the 714 and the limited 714SM, including: inward folding hinges which showcase the signature Persol double arrow, as it was originally in the 1960’s and on the pair McQueen wore. As well as a premium Italian leather pouch which easily slips into a coat pocket.
The legendary sunglasses got another boost, as Persol unveiled the limited edition 714SM featuring classic tortoise acetate paired 24K gold plated mirrored lenses (offered here).
