The new Super sunglasses Winter 2014 Collection is now available.
Super’s new winter collection takes its cues from Fritz Lang’s 1927 iconic science fiction film ‘Metropolis’ and retro super futuristic interpretations of 20’s style.
We presented the first installment of the collection last month, the winter range yields an assortment of new one of a kind designs for the cold winter months ahead. Striking the balance between the rough and crude, whilst remaining polished and refined, the lineup features an innovative mixture of textures and opulent materials. Acetate is creatively combined with materials such as: leather, steel, and even wood which is set on top gold metal in one of our favorite series named “Francis G Wood”.
Without further delay, let us proceed to the round up…
The Structura series is an ode to industrial constructions from the beginning of the 20th century. The framework, available in silver and gold, is meticulously crafted from raw steel which is left unpolished to be appreciated in its genuine form. It is combined with Super’s signature shapes – shiny black acetate with silver structure for the America and Basic Shape, tortoise with gold structure for the Flat Top.
Super elevated its craftsmanship with this wealthy pair of sunglasses, which encompasses real wood veneered to the metallic gold arms.
Creamy off-white and classic tortoise acetates are cut then fused together, and fitted with grey Carl Zeiss lenses encased with a golden metal outline, completing an ode to Deco aesthetics.
The Super Flat top is meticulously fitted with cured snake embossed leather by highly skilled traditional Italian artisans.
Vintage havana dressed up with Deco detailing, makes for a rich alternative to black.
The Gals Strata features crystal acetate encased between a beautiful eclectic mix of vintage tortoise.
Super pairs a warm tortoise acetate with an art deco motif delicately inscribed into metallic gold temples.
A timeless frame and color pairing of shiny black and havana acetate.
